We are working to make denim more sustainable, as part of our sustainability manifesto. We have reduced the impact of our denim production by:
REDUCING WATER CONSUMPTION
Much of our collection is produced in factories using innovative water saving and water recycling processes.
PARTNERING WITH BETTER COTTON INITIATIVE
REISS is a member of Better Cotton, an organisation that supports better farming practices for the environment. This includes water saving and care for soil health, reducing the use of harmful chemicals and respecting workers' rights and wellbeing.
REDUCING USE OF CHEMICALS
Our dying processes use sustainable, non-hazardous chemicals.
FUTURE
We are committed to sourcing 100% of our cotton as more sustainable by 2025. More sustainable cotton includes Better Cotton, recycled and organic cotton. We will consistently review all other elements of the garment to increase sustainability overall including setting targets to source more sustainable trims.
